Course Highlights

Full Course Description

So, what do we actually mean by 'Substances Hazardous to Health'?

Legally, this refers to substances classified as “very toxic, toxic, harmful, corrosive, or irritant” under the Classification, Labelling and Packaging (CLP) Regulation. Introduced in January 2009, the CLP Regulation works alongside the REACH Regulation—short for Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals—which came into force on 1st June 2007 across the EU. One of REACH’s key goals is to protect both human health and the environment by regulating the safe use of chemicals.
